Personal Web Space Troubleshooting: When I type the URL to my web page in my browser, I get the message that I am not authorized to view the page.

If there is not an HTML file named index.html uploaded to the site, the following error will appear when attempting to view the web site in the browser.

  • For information on how to use HTML code, please check out the Basic HTML Guide
  • If an HTML file has already been uploaded, make sure the file is named index.html. index.htm will not work.
  • If the file is uploaded correctly, it should look something like this on the right-hand side:
