What is FTP?
Similar to viewing web pages in your browser using HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol), uploading files to your web space is done with a special transfer protocol known as FTP(File Transfer Protocol). There are various software programs that can be used to send finished web pages from any computer to a web space account. Most of them allow you to drag a file from your computer's file window and "drop" it into the web space account file window.
Some FTP programs include:
- Core FTP Lite (Windows)
- Coffeecup Free FTP (Windows)
- Fetch (MAC)
- Cyberduck (MAC)
